Estes Park Elopement at Mary's Lake

Mira Landry

Hope and Jus are just the most fabulously fun couple. When they say you should marry your best friend, it is obvious these two did just that. It was such an honor to be able to help them plan and celebrate their nuptials last week, with them choosing the very unique time and date to get married of 4/24/24 at 2:42 p.m. Nobody better forget that anniversary!

I'm loving the trend of more unique and rustic B&Bs for getting ready. The little details add so much character and uniqueness to the photos and help add a sense of place to images.

We even managed to keep the bride and groom hidden from each other until she walked down the "aisle"! (That is almost never is a possibility for an elopement, usually we need to arrange a "first look" moment.)

Hope and Jus fell in love with their cake before they even planned to get married here so weren't going to skip out on this beautiful (and delicious, they shared!) wedding cake. It made for a such a nice break after the ceremony for the little crowd before we went and took more photos at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Always important to note that you do need a permit to elope or have a micro-wedding in RMNP, but you no longer need a permit to just pop up and take portrait photos there. We didn't have a ton of time, but found this gorgeous lookout to snap some with Long's Peak in the background and it was a great, fun way to cap off before they went for dinner at Bird & Jim's (delicious, and a must-visit restaurant in Estes!)

Congratulations Hope & Jus! I'm so excited for you two, and cannot wait for you to see your wedding album.
