I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding out at Sprague Lake the year after I moved to Colorado and restarted my photography business, but haven't been back in a little while.
When Hilda and Zach said they wanted an epic Colorado backdrop for their engagement photos, this place at sunset was the first that came to my mind.
This really is a location for a sunrise shoot, but even though we don't get the classic golden hour, the sun angles through the mountains at this time of year really allow for some artsy shots.
I loved working with this couple for so many reasons (isn't she stylish!!?) but mostly they just had such amazing chemistry that I hardly needed any promps or posing to capture such excellent emotion from them.
I'm SO excited to capture their wedding next year. It's going to be what dreams are made of.
